The perfect combination of cutting-edge technology and manufacturing processes
This manual is applicable to DC permanent magnet motors manufactured and sold by our company.
1. Storage and Handling
1.1 Storage conditions
● Environmental temperature: -40 ℃ to+80 ℃;
● No dust, corrosive gases, flammable and explosive materials.
● In situations where there is no rain or other liquid immersion;
● Small packaging with a stack height of less than 5 layers;
● Environmental avoidance as agreed in the Product Specification signed by both parties
1.2 Handling
It must be covered and protected from rain and sun, ensuring that the temperature is between -40 ℃ and+80 ℃.
● Avoid strong vibrations greater than 10g and free drops exceeding 0.4m with packaging;
The minimum packaging stacking should not exceed 5 layers (unless otherwise agreed), and there should be no heavy pressure or other foreign objects with the potential to damage the motor on it.
2 Installation and Connection
2.1 Installation
The standard installation method provided by our company's products is to use the shaft extension end bearing position (commonly known as the pig tip) for radial positioning, the casing end face for axial positioning, and the 2 (or 3, 4) screw holes on the casing end face for fastening installation; Different from the above methods, please refer to the Product Specification agreed upon by both parties;
● Pay attention to the length of the fastening screws (refer to the Product Specification for length). If it is too long, it will interfere with or even damage the motor rotor, and if it is too short, it will weaken the installation strength; The tightening torque of the screw also needs to be verified. If it is too large, it will cause slippage (threading), and if it is too small, it will cause the motor to not be installed properly;
Avoid using structural elements such as ventilation holes or heat dissipation holes of the motor for installation purposes, unless otherwise agreed.
During the installation process, abnormal operations such as motor deformation and damage should be avoided.
2.2 Mechanical connections
The output shaft of the motor is often connected to the fan blades, gears, worm gears, pulleys, camshafts, and eccentric wheels. When pressing these structural components on one end of the shaft, it is necessary to support the other end of the shaft (i.e. ensure that the pressing force is completely borne by the motor bearing);
When connecting, avoid using adhesive. If it cannot be avoided, prevent the adhesive from flowing into the bearing holes, commutator surfaces, and stator rotor clearances, which may cause motor failure;
Avoid improper connection that may cause load asymmetry and imbalance, otherwise it may cause noise and vibration in the motor, and may shorten the lifespan of the motor.
2.3 Electrical connections
The motor is generally connected to the power supply through a connecting wire, and the connection between the connecting wire and the motor terminal is commonly achieved through soldering and standard terminal insertion methods; When using tin welding for connection, it is necessary to avoid melting and failure of insulation components such as terminal fixing seats due to excessively high welding temperature and too long welding time. It is also necessary to prevent tin particles and flux from falling into the interior of the motor and causing motor failure;
To meet EMC requirements, customers may install capacitors between the motor terminals and the casing, as well as connect inductors in series on the terminal side. It is important to pay attention to the voltage resistance value of the capacitors and the capacity (current value) of the inductors. If necessary, please consult our sales engineers;
Ensure that the power capacity of the connected motor and the cross-sectional area of the connecting wires match the motor load.
3 Use and operation
Due to the presence of commutation sparks in the motor and the absence of explosion-proof measures, there must be no flammable or explosive gases or other items on site during use;
Before use, it is necessary to verify whether the rated voltage, rated load, rotation direction, working system, and environmental conditions are consistent with the product specifications agreed upon by both parties. If there is any inconsistency, please contact our company's sales engineer immediately;
Before powering on and running, confirm whether the power connection is reliable, and whether there are any adverse phenomena such as jamming or jamming in the load connection. If there are any, they must be eliminated, otherwise it will affect the normal operation of the motor and even burn the motor;
Customers can install necessary safety protection devices according to the purpose, usage location, and installation needs of the motor. The setting value must be verified by themselves or determined through communication with our sales engineers to avoid improper operation of the motor.
If the motor experiences abnormal conditions such as odor, overheating (generally above 80 ℃), or smoking during operation, the power should be immediately cut off and the machine should be shut down for inspection until the abnormal factors are identified and eliminated.
